Foods which are low in calorie and are also filling are generally foods rich in fibre (fruits, vegetables, whole grains), protein (meat, fish, tofu), fruits and vegetables.
This will differ depending on your goals, gender, age, weight and activity level. The general recommendation is for women to consume 2,000 calories and men to consume 2,500 calories. If you are trying to lose 0.5 - 1kg a week it’s recommended to cut 500 to 1,000 calories per day.
